Whale Watching Fun

The Gold Coast is amazing in summer, with its sun, surf and sand. But in winter, it’s equally appealing. That’s because when the mercury drops, the whales come out to play!

For a terrific whale watching experience, you can’t beat The Spirit of Gold Coast. They set off from Mariner’s Cove Marina just near Surfers Paradise and they provide full educational commentary, serve up complimentary refreshments and best of all, have a whale guarantee. No whales means a free return trip. But trust me, you won’t need it!

The Gold Coast is the ultimate whale watching destination because the Humpback Highway sits just 20 or so minutes off shore. That means you only need to spend half a day on the water, and the rest of your day is free to enjoy the GC.

The whale season at the Gold Coast is also long, spanning continuously from late May until late October, and even into early November. And you’re not just going to spot whales either. There are sharks, turtles and dolphins. It’s a thrilling adventure on the water!

As there’s so much to do on the coast, you’ll need a great place to base yourself. The Breakers Apartments are just metres from the beach, separated from the golden sands only by its sparkling, heated pool. They’re just a short stroll from Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise and accommodation wise, they offer a range of options. From beachfront cabanas to swanky 2-bedroom executive apartments. They’re the perfect Gold Coast holiday escape…
