If you’ve been wondering whose kitchen really rules in Sydney, here’s your chance to find out. My Kitchen Rules contestant Anna Lisle lists North Bondi Fish as one of her favourite places to catch a bite. What better place to eat fish and chips than at the beach? At this great eatery you’re just a few steps from the surf. Your classic meal will be even better when you pair it with great views of Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Try a beer battered flathead fillet with chips and tartare sauce. You’ll love their kinkawooka mussels with white wine, herbs and garlic. If you’re feeling like something light, try their Sydney rock oysters with lemon. They’ve also got grilled calamari with gremolata and chilli. Make the most of your meal and match it up with a sav blanc or pinot gris. Make a booking or just walk on in, they’ll always welcome you and have great meal ideas for groups. You can be sure that everything will be to a high standard with celebrity chef Matt Moran at the helm. You’ll love unwinding in their relaxed space and the breezy vibe.

Sydney Weekender, hosted by Mike Whitney, is now in its 24th year!
Travelling around the city and throughout the length & breadth of the state, each episode investigates the best places to stay, eat and play so you can make the most of your weekend.
After retiring from international cricket, Mike first appeared on Sydney Weekender back in 1994, and since then has loved every minute of it.
Over the years, Mike has hosted Sydney Weekender from all over New South Wales; from Eden in the south, to Tibooburra in the far northwest of the state.
One of Mike's favourite moments was when he had the chance to fly in a fully restored De Havilland Vampire fighter jet at the Temora Aviation Museum. "The pilot opened the throttle and sent the Vampire vertical," he says, "It was such a blast - the whole time I was thinking - I've got the best job in the world."
Sydney Weekender is on every Sunday at 5.30pm on the Seven Network in Sydney, and across N.S.W. & the A.C.T. on the PRIME Network. It's repeated a week later on 7TWO.
We're also on 7TWO on Saturdays - Please check your local guide for times.
