Bacino Kiosk Chowder Bay

Bacino Kiosk Chowder Bay is a short walk up the hill just past Ripples and the diving school. While you sit back and relax treat yourself to the creamy medium strength coffee; their barrister’s top it off with real chocolate shavings. The brunch and lunch menu is an Italian inspired fare that will have you chowing down. Pick up a classic like toasted ricotta, Roma tomatoes and basil on toast or go the tasty ricotta & chive cakes.

Chiosco by Ormeggio

Dine bare-foot or BYO by the waterside at Chiosco by Ormeggio. This restaurant is a real Italian trattoria by the sea so killer views for brekky, lunch and tea. Kick off your day with mouthwatering sweet corn fritters joined by smoked prosciutto, sour cream and rocket salad. Smell the fresh sea breeze and the aroma of spaghetti alla chitarra; that’s with prawns, bottarga, tomato and lemon. For dinner share the Spalla D’Angelo with someone special; they’ll love the slow roasted whole lamb shoulder and Italian greens.

About

Sydney Weekender, hosted by Mike Whitney, is now in its 24th year!
Travelling around the city and throughout the length & breadth of the state, each episode investigates the best places to stay, eat and play so you can make the most of your weekend.

After retiring from international cricket, Mike first appeared on Sydney Weekender back in 1994, and since then has loved every minute of it.

Over the years, Mike has hosted Sydney Weekender from all over New South Wales; from Eden in the south, to Tibooburra in the far northwest of the state.

One of Mike's favourite moments was when he had the chance to fly in a fully restored De Havilland Vampire fighter jet at the Temora Aviation Museum. "The pilot opened the throttle and sent the Vampire vertical," he says, "It was such a blast - the whole time I was thinking - I've got the best job in the world."

Sydney Weekender is on every Sunday at 5.30pm on the Seven Network in Sydney, and across N.S.W. & the A.C.T. on the PRIME Network. It's repeated a week later on 7TWO.

We're also on 7TWO on Saturdays - Please check your local guide for times.
