Daydream Island in tropical north Queensland is one of seven islands of the Molle Group in the Whitsundays.
Originally named West Molle, it was the Murray family in the 1930s who christened the island ‘Daydream’ when they set up the very first tourist resort.
In 2017, it was struck by cyclone Debbie. Following an extensive redevelopment, the island is again open for visitors. There are daily flights into Hamilton Island and then it’s a thirty-minute ferry ride.
The accommodation has been beautifully refreshed and offers 277 modern rooms and suites, with the choice of interconnecting rooms for families.
