Nomanslanding

With Anzac day approaching Darling Harbour has a great experience to enjoy this year. Five leading artists from Europe and Australia have created a 120 metre floating artwork called Nomanslanding - a free interactive and reflective experience to commemorate the Centenary of ANZAC.

At the centre of this world-first event is an installation that will be floating on Cockle Bay. Cross the pontoon bridges to see an interpretation of a soldier’s experience during wartime. Visitors will approach the installation from opposing shores across the water, in an unfamiliar no man's land, to arrive in a dome structure in the middle of the bay.

Get in quick to see this as in May it will make its way to Scotland and Germany.

About

Sydney Weekender, hosted by Mike Whitney, is now in its 24th year!
Travelling around the city and throughout the length & breadth of the state, each episode investigates the best places to stay, eat and play so you can make the most of your weekend.

After retiring from international cricket, Mike first appeared on Sydney Weekender back in 1994, and since then has loved every minute of it.

Over the years, Mike has hosted Sydney Weekender from all over New South Wales; from Eden in the south, to Tibooburra in the far northwest of the state.

One of Mike's favourite moments was when he had the chance to fly in a fully restored De Havilland Vampire fighter jet at the Temora Aviation Museum. "The pilot opened the throttle and sent the Vampire vertical," he says, "It was such a blast - the whole time I was thinking - I've got the best job in the world."

Sydney Weekender is on every Sunday at 5.30pm on the Seven Network in Sydney, and across N.S.W. & the A.C.T. on the PRIME Network. It's repeated a week later on 7TWO.

We're also on 7TWO on Saturdays - Please check your local guide for times.
